Notification: Personal Settings

Unwanted email, "spam", is serious inconvenience for many people. To avoid exacerbating this, rap-X provides very fine-grained control of email notification settings. The image below is taken from the live application. Settings may be configured at the level of category and by item type (requests, proposals, etc). The intersection of category and item can be set to provide various levels of notification sensitivity, classified as "modes". The following modes are available:

• No Watch - you are not notified of any events
• New Items - notified only when new items are added
• Key Events - notified of the most important events (e.g Requests posted by yourself is closed)
• Standard - notified of the most significant events.
• All Events - whenever an item is modified in any way, you will receive a notification.

For supplier users, additional notifications can be set for events such as:

• user created
• news item read by customer
• proposal read by customer
• customer account created
• category modified
• questionnaire response submitted (available October 2002).
